Lenten Journey

March 1st kicked off our Lenten season with Ash Wednesday. Throughout the month, the students have been working hard on their Lent promises, learning about their faith and Lent and making connections to the world. We have celebrated Stations of the Cross on Fridays during Lent. The students have done a remarkable job illustrating the stations in different ways. Teachers have been hard at work going over the elements of Lent – fasting, almsgiving, praying. The student council assisted in this by hosting an out of uniform on March 24th. Students were asked to bring in various paper good items for the Humanitarian Service Project. This was a great display of almsgiving and the students were in awe of the things people are in need of, that we may take for granted. Thank you to all that participated. HSP was delighted with the number of products we delivered to them.
