It’s Catholic Schools Week! #CSW16

St. James the Apostle is once again celebrating Catholic Schools Week with a full schedule of events, including open houses, school activities and masses.  The theme for this year’s Catholic Schools Week is “Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service”.   The week kicked off with hospitality after all masses and open house of the school followed by a rousing All-School Family Assembly featuring the Chicago Boyz Acrobats.  The students were thrilled with out of uniform days all week, each day featuring a different dress theme (Team Day, Hero Day, Patriotic Day, and Spirit Day).  Other events throughout the week feature:

  • An all school service-project to benefit the West Suburban Humane Society
  • A Parent Appreciation Day
  • A Student Assembly featuring cold-blooded reptiles
  • A Spelling Bee
  • An All-School Pep Rally
  • A Family Fun Night-Fun Fair and Cake Walk

Don’t forget to celebrate Catholic Schools Week on social media by using the hashtag #CSW16.  Also, check back soon for photos of St James the Apostle’s Catholic Schools Week!
