Explanation of 2 programs to apply for financial assistance
1. Empower Illinois / Tax Credit Scholarship -We’re excited to announce January 15 as the official date for the 2020-2021 tax credit scholarship application process to begin. Please visit https://empowerillinois.org/students/how-do-i-apply/ for more details about the two-step application process.
Current scholarship recipients and students who applied in 2019-20 and are currently on the wait list must reapply.
Step 1. Reserve: On January 15 at 6:30p.m., the reservation form will be available on the website to give families time to enter their information before the submission begins at 7:00 p.m. Families will complete a brief two page online reservation form with the following information:
Additionally, there will be three legal disclaimer check boxes at the bottom of the page. Once the page is submitted (beginning at 7:00pm) the family will receive a first-come, first-served timestamp.
Step 2. Apply: On January 17th, families will be emailed a link to login to a parent portal to complete the application. You have the best chance of receiving a scholarship if your application is completed before January 27th.
2. The Catholic Education Foundation Scholarship- this program is designed for K-12 students in the Diocese of Joliet. Families must apply each year through the FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment at ww.online.factsmgt.com to qualify for a scholarship. (FACTS Helpline 866-315-9262) All scholarships awarded are based on financial need.
3. A meeting with Mr. Kirk, Principal can be made, as needed.
